This is Kia and Sitka. They are Alaskan Malamutes. They are ironically timid for their size and are very easily startled. Although they are descended from wolves, Jenny says they would be practically useless if we were to run into a vicious mountain lion, ravenous grizzly bear or malevolent moose. But we like them anyway.
